and Elizabeth Sarah PLUMB (née WEBB). In two census his place of birth is given as Westley Waterless.
1901 census...Aged 1, he was at Westley Bottom, Westley Waterless, with his father Frederick PLUMB [32] stockman on farm, born in Brinkley; his mother Elizabeth S. [35] born Carlton; sisters Ethel M. [10] born Carlton, and Florence A. [8], Elizabeth B. [6] and Emma M. [4] these three born in Westley Waterless. Also there was Caroline WEBB, his grandmother [68] born Carlton. 1911 census...Aged 11, he was still at the same place, with his parents, sisters Elizabeth Bessie and Maud Emma, and brothers Sidney Frederick [7] and Harold [2] and sister Leatna [4] all born in Westley Waterless. The pension card records that his mother died and his father had moved to 24 Cottenham Road, Histon. |

He enlisted in Newmarket. He was in the same unit and died the same day as Harry Trundley of Carlton. see here His unit was involved on the left of the 8th West Yorkshire Regt as shown below |
